Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens

Zac Efron And Vanessa Hudgens Split

Just 2 weeks ago we saw them all lovey-dovey in Hawaii, hugging and smooching. But the High School Musical sweethearts have been rumored (again) to have split. E! News broke the news saying that a source close to the couple tell them about the news. According to the source, "It's nothing dramatic," one source said. "There's no third party involved."Says another source, "They were together for so long. It just ran its course."
Sources insist they remain friends. Reps of Zac and Vanessa haven't confirmed anything yet.
Efron, 23, is currently filming The Lucky One in New Orleans. Hudgens, who turns 22 today, wraps Journey 2: The Mysterious Island later this week in Hawaii.
But don't worry loyal Zanessa fans, according to Hollywoodlife the couple might get back some time, "They have officially called it quits, but my source believes that there is a great chance they will get back together,” Hollywoodlife insider says. “They have hung out with each other as recently as two weeks ago and will continue to hang out, since they are best friends.”
"They realize that they both can trust each other, and there will be a bond between them forever,” their source says. “Career demands, distance and to enjoy being single are the main reasons for the break up. I’d be shocked if they don’t get back together someday.”
Both also expressed what they feel for each other."Right off the bat, we had a connection," Hudgens told Glamour magazine earlier this year. "I think everybody could see it. When we had our audition, they paired us together. And he was adorable. I think that we inspire each other. [I love] having someone to grow with."
Efron has also been open about his desire to be with one girl, dismissing those who say he should be dating around. "Everyone tells me [to play the field]," he told Esquire. "I think a lot of guys would enjoy that. But I'm not really like that."
While he made it clear he's a one-woman guy, he did share in 2009 that he had no plans to marry. "I'm definitely not getting married," he told GQ. "In this business, you're either getting married or they want you to be pregnant. I'm not getting married until I'm 40. If ever. The thought never crossed my mind."
The couple had been dating for 5 years and are also been into tough times. Just like any relationship, their's wasn't perfect as well. But don't you wish they'd end up with each other x)
